In 2006, she returned to college to pursue a degree in Political Science International Relations with a minor in Media Journalism. Over a two-year span, she interned at NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and volunteered at UNICEF under the web production unit. In September 2008, Melissa graduated from Hunter College in New York City. Combining her passion for people, environment and animals along with her knowledge of politics and media, Melissa co-founded Growing Voices with her friend and supporter, Quinn Lundberg. Currently she is attending the New School where she hopes to complete her MS in International Affairs. Melissa resides in New York City but considers her home traveling the globe on behalf of Growing Voices.

Quinn Lundberg graduated in 2010 with a degree in International Conflict Resolution from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program (Hunter College) in New York City. While a student, Quinn volunteered for UNICEF under the web production unit where she developed her writing, producing and editing skills.
